Accounts Receivable Clerk
Location: Hanover MD
Schedule: 30-40 Hours Per Week

About the Opportunity
A growing government contracting organization is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Invoicing Clerk to support a busy finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience with invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, and administrative accounting functions.
The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting customer billing activities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding invoices.
Responsibilities
Generate and process customer invoices
Monitor accounts receivable balances
Follow up on outstanding invoices and collections efforts
Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries
Maintain accurate customer and invoice records
Assist with administrative accounting tasks as needed
Support finance team initiatives and special projects
Work within accounting and ERP systems to track billing activity
Qualifications
1+ years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Invoicing experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable managing high-volume, repetitive tasks with accuracy
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Deltek Costpoint
Government contracting experience
Previous collections or customer account management experience
Exposure to Accounts Payable, Payroll, or general accounting functions
